Dear Readers,
On behalf of the editorial board members, it is our great pleasure to introduce this inaugural issue of the Journal of Semiconductor Engineering (JSE), an international peer-reviewed open-access journal published by the Institute of Semiconductor Engineers. The field of semiconductor research and engineering is evolving at an ever increasing pace. We have created the JSE to provide a collective and open forum where semiconductor engineers, students, and scholars all over the world can share and discuss pioneering ideas, research results, and comments with colleagues. The scope of JSE covers all areas of semiconductor materials, process, devices, circuits and systems. Original research, reviews, and critical commentaries will be welcomed.
Because the JSE is 100% open access, all content is available without charge to readers. All JSE readers are allowed to read, download, and print the full texts of the articles. Open access is provided through the payment of an article processing charge (APC) paid by authors or their institutions after acceptance.
We, the editorial board members, are proud to become a member of this new international peer-reviewed open-access journal because we strongly believe that the JSE will provide our valuable readers with opportunities to broaden the new horizon of semiconductor technologies and narrow the gap between the academia and industry.
